aslo 2019 aquatic sciences meeting
san juan, puerto rico
From February 23-March 2, 2019, hundreds of international researchers and educators will gather in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the 2019 Aquatic Sciences Meeting, of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO).
At this meeting, experts will present cutting-edge research on aquatic science, education, and policy issues. There will be hundreds of presentations and other activities of local interest such as coral reef health, marine debris, and impacts of the 2017 hurricanes.
calling young scientists
We believe the ASLO meeting will benefit greatly from young scientists presenting their own research! Therefore, we invite high school students to apply to present posters in a special session, on Wednesday, February 27, from 9-10:45 am. At the same time, an education fair will be open to high school students and other attendees. During the poster session, high school scientists will have the opportunity to describe their work and receive positive feedback from educators and scientists. Participating high schoolers will also have the opportunity to attend science and education talks and posters.
To apply to participate in the high school poster session at the 2019 ASLO Meeting, complete the application below. If you are accepted, the information about your poster will be printed in a program booklet that will be shared with meeting attendees.
apply now for priority consideration
Submit all information by Monday, February 4, 2019 for priority consideration! Projects should be linked to the aquatic sciences, but all high-quality science projects will be considered for inclusion.
